- USFS Alder Springs Trailhead on FR 6360 / 040, Crooked River National Grassland. Vault none; rough road. Also USFS Whychus Creek Overlook off FR 16 south of Sisters, and the Falls / Chush trail.

- About 1.5 miles down Alder Springs Trail to the creek.

- Small desert creek. Hot, rattlesnakes, no shade. Do not go alone.
